Starry Night
Project Description
In Chapter 2 of Learn to Program with Scratch we looked at how a user can create drawings and motion within Scratch. I worked on completing the code for a program that draws a star. The basic solution on required the addition of the pen commands. However, to enhance my learning, I decided to explore other concepts like the randomization of pen colour, moving the pencil to draw in different locations, and changing the background image to be more reflective of the overall theme of the project. Given that this was my first project in Scratch, I was very impressed with myself.

Joke
Project Description
The main focus of Chapter 3 of the text was looks and sound. In choosing my focus for this assignment, I decided to focus on completing the code for a boy telling a joke to a girl. The code was easy enough to complete. To enhance my learning, I decided to add sound and to have the boy walk off the screen. The project helped to solidify my understanding of how to create an animation using Scratch. The only issue that I had was when the boy hits the edge, instead of disappearing, he continued to appear as if he was walking up against a wall.
