Welcome
Hello and welcome to my Maker Portfolio that I created for the course EDTECH597 Maker TECH that I took in the fall of 2015 as part of my studies for the Masters in Educational Technology program ant Boise State University. This site houses all of my assignments for the course. Feel free to browse around and use any of the material here in your own classroom. The portfolio is structured chronologically from left to right, so that you can easily see my progression through the course.
Under Maker Projects, you will find pages dedicated to the projects that made for the course using Scratch and Makey Makey. I am especially proud of Scratch Project 2 and 3 as these pages house some of my first projects that I made without relying on code provided by Majed Marji, the author of Learn to Program with Scratch. However, I encourage you to check out Scratch + Makey Makey Project 2 as it highlights how a little modification of a program can help reinforce different concepts.
Towards the end of the course we were tasked with creating an instructional unit which focused on creating programs that can be used with a specific topic and grade level. The unit that I created focused on an review exercise of the multiplication tables. This was an incredibly useful exercise as it helped to force me to think of how I can use my knowledge from the course in a practical way.
Finally, I encourage you to check out my Scratch profile where I will continue to add projects that I am working on.
